Saffron Rice Pudding


  • Jasmin rice         one cup
  • Sugar       ½ cup
  • Butter       150gr
  • Water     6-7 cups or more as needed
  • Rosewater        ½ cup
  • Saffron     2-3 grams (soak it in hot water)
  • Sliced almond (skinless)      100gr
  • Cinnamon      for garnish


  1. Wash the rice and soak it for at least two hours
  2. Cook the rice with water and stir frequently, the rice has to cook and dissolve until it becomes thick
  3. Add saffron and rosewater
  4. Add Sugar
  5. Add Butter
  6. Add sliced almond and Cinnamon

You can serve this delicious pudding in hot or cold

Pour cinnamon powder on top of the dish
